A Scottish Ceilidh comes to the Montville Village Hall. Our village piper, Gordon Ferguson and his wife Wendy, are the brains behind this event and it will be a wonderful evening. We are so excited to be bringing this to our community.
A Ceilidh (pronounced kay-lee) is a traditional Scottish gathering. There is music, food and dancing.
Flashjack, a local Australian band with a strong Celtic twist, will be playing throughout the evening.
They will be calling the traditional dances in which everyone can join. Even if you don’t have a clue about Scottish dancing, you will be shown easy basic steps.
Stillmaker and Sons whisky distillery based in Montville will be in attendance with whisky tasting. The Bonnie Skye Highland Dancers will show their skills with traditional highland dancing.
There is a theme and it’s Tartan!
Who would have thought it?!
There will be prizes for the best dressed female and male.
The Hall doors open at 6.30pm for a 7.00pm start.
Funds raised go towards the maintenance of the historical Montville Village Hall.
